The Bridge depends on the community to allow us to continue to assist over 20,000 individuals every year affected by domestic violence, sexual assault & homelessness. Our yearly budget is $3.2 million. Please consider donating to The Bridge to help us continue a legacy of healing.

Give Now
Your gift can provide safe shelter for a mother and child, a nutritious meal for a family or much-needed counseling for a woman overcoming crisis. You can become a Sustaining Partner of The Bridge by giving monthly. Click here to Give Hope through a financial contribution.

Memorials/Honorariums

You can give to The Bridge to memorialize a loved one who has passed away, to honor a special person in your life or to celebrate a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation or holiday. Unless otherwise instructed, all gifts will be acknowledged by letter to the person being honored.

Wills and Bequests

Leave a legacy of kindness and support for women and children in crisis. Share with your lawyer or family your wishes to add The Bridge as a beneficiary to your last will and testament.

Cars

Donated vehicles benefit The Bridge financially and provide a tax deduction for the donor.

Shelter Needs
The Bridge serves 165,000 meals and snacks each year and provides a variety of basic needs. To do so, we need a large supply of donated items—such as 3,500 gallons of milk, 10,000 rolls of toilet paper, and 3,120 pounds of powdered laundry soap, just to name a few. Click here for a list of on-going needs.
Throughout the year, The Bridge is in need of specific items. For example, in the beginning of the school year, there is an increased need for uniforms or supplies and in the summer there is an increased need for food. Click here to find out which specific items are needed during this time of year.

Food

The Bridge serves 118,625 meals each year. Call The Bridge to find out what food items are needed.

Drives

Another way to get involved is to have your company or organization host a drive to fill needs at one of The Bridge's housing or children's facilities. Food, paper products and over-the-counter medicines are always in demand. Some companies have even developed incentive programs for employees who participate. There are many creative ways you can have fun and build morale while collecting items for those in need.

Holiday Drives or Parties
During holidays such as Easter, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, your company or organization can donate to needy families or provide a party for Bridge clients. Every year, The Bridge looks forward to how the community will reach out to make each holiday a special time for the women and children we serve.

Days of Caring
"Days of Caring" allow The Bridge to maintain a safe, home-like environment for thousands of women and children each year. Companies and other groups can volunteer at the emergency shelter or long-term apartments to provide projects such as landscaping, building shelves, constructing fences, painting rooms, and more. The involvement of volunteers at The Bridge is vital to our existence, since our facilities need constant upkeep.

Special Projects
Volunteers can get involved through special projects at The Bridge. Not only do special projects meet tangible needs of Bridge residents, but they also allow volunteers to serve as positive role-models. Projects can include reading to the children, taking a group of children on an enrichment trip or providing makeovers for women at the shelter.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
We utilize volunteers in every area of service. Click here for more Volunteer Opportunities.
